Ince Metcalfes expands its commercial presence in South WestMarch 02, 2021
Thriving South West law firm and part of the international Ince Group, Ince Metcalfes, continues to record strong client growth and has bolstered its commercial offering with the appointment of a new Solicitor and highly experienced Paralegal.
The performance of the team is reflected with the retention of Lydia Cammiade, who has qualified into the Commercial practice group at the firm. Lydia will specialise in employment and corporate law including discrimination and unfair dismissal, restructures and redundancies, as well as mergers & acquisitions, commercial contracts and day-to-day company matters. Lydia will work primarily with David Baynton (Partner and Head of Employment) and Ed Chapman (Managing Associate, Corporate). David Baynton comments:
“Having Lydia in the team will allow us to build on our already growing commercial practice, supporting SMEs in Bristol and beyond. Being part of the larger Ince Group offers great opportunities and exposure to clients across the UK and internationally. This was demonstrated on a recent deal, where Lydia supported Ed on the acquisition of international boat building company, Ribcraft by a Dubai-based buyer."
Katie George, a specialist in resolving both business and individual disputes, joins the Dispute Resolution team from a Milton Keynes firm. Katie brings 20 years of experience working in civil litigation and insolvency to the firm; advising clients on debt collection, contractual disputes and contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters. Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution, Natasha Bliss adds:
“Katie is a fantastic addition to the team and will offer our clients a straightforward and practical approach to resolving disputes. Her particular strength is in insolvency - and I know she will be a great support to clients in the challenging times ahead.”
Katie’s arrival follows the recruitment of Holly Manners, a commercial litigator with specific experience in both contentious and non-contentious corporate recovery, insolvency and personal bankruptcy matters, in May of last year.
